EYFS Curriculum Offer

At Ladywood School our dynamic and unique Early Years curriculum has been carefully devised to ensure that pupil’s cognitive development proceeds hand-in-hand with their social and personal development. Our curriculum fully embraces the 7 areas of learning, ensuring our pupils are provided with a breadth and depth of personalised learning opportunities, with their individual needs and personal interests at the heart.

We provide a communication rich curriculum that will inspire learning, ignite curiosity and develop engagement through high quality learning opportunities and experiences.

We work seamlessly with parents, carers and other professionals to ensure positive relationships, consistency of support and a holistic approach to supporting all pupils. We provide our pupils with opportunities to develop their exploratory and functional play skills, explore boundaries and celebrate their achievements through highly engaging and personalised learning.

Reading, Writing and Mathematics are embedded throughout all areas of the EYFS curriculum and are taught through both child and adult led activities and focussed lessons. We place a strong focus on developing communication, social interaction and developing essential life skills. Our EYFS curriculum gives all children a solid foundation of learning which is the platform to our KS1 and KS2 whole school curriculum; giving our young learners the best possible start to life at Ladywood School.
